Store Associate

Warman Home Centre is looking for a full-time Store Associate. If you pride yourself on great customer experience and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, then this is the opportunity for you. Ideally, you live in Warman or in a neighboring community and have no limitations on getting to work.

The job will require you to be physically fit and you will be on your feet 90% of the day. You will be bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving product.

This is a full-time position working Monday – Saturday (with two days off per week, Sunday being one).

What you will be doing:

  • Cheerfully greet all customers
  • Offer product input and assist customers with purchasing decisions while helping them navigate the store
  • Operate cash till, receiving debit/credit payments and issuing receipts
  • Complete checkout transactions (and returns) accurately and efficiently, and assistance with carrying and loading that product into the customers vehicle (when needed)
  • Merchandising and stocking shelves
  • Maintain satisfactory inventory controls
  • Contribute to a clean and uncluttered store environment, ensuring that department/area and aisles are clear and product is easily accessible to customers
  • Remove trash and distressed items
  • Work as part of a team and help in other areas as needed

Skills/Knowledge/Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to lift between 25-50lbs regularly
  • Knowledge of building material, hand tools and other home and garden product is preferred
  • Use of rolling ladders
