Warman Home Centre is seeking a highly organized and proactive shipper to oversee daily delivery operations, fleet maintenance, and driver coordination. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage logistics efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries and returns in advance to ensure efficient routing and timely service.
- Manage and monitor a fleet of 17 trucks and forklifts, ensuring all vehicles are safe, maintained, and compliant.
- Schedule and oversee repairs and preventative maintenance for all equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues using computer systems and paperwork.
- Ensure all drivers are properly trained on company procedures, safety initiatives, and safe work practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Communicate effectively with other divisions within the organization.
- Provide accurate delivery timelines and updates to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate and administer forklift orders, ensuring proper scheduling and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and logistics software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Assets / Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of the City of Saskatoon and surrounding areas in Saskatchewan.
- Experience with heavy trucks, fleet operations, or vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with building materials and related logistics.
- Experience using GPS systems and software such as Profit master.
- Understanding of permits, road bans, and transportation regulations.
Work Environment:
This position involves a combination of office-based coordination and interaction with drivers, customers, and operations staff in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
